A huge study has found the taller a female is, the higher her risk of developing 10 different cancers. Professors at the University of Oxford in England investigated statistics on more than 1.2 million British females followed them for about 9.4 years. The professors at the university established that for every four-inch boost in tallness more than 5 feet 1 inch, the danger that a female would receive cancer went up by about 16 percent. Information on tallness and additional factors pertinent for cancer was acquired in 1996-2001 for middle-aged females with no preceding cancer who were followed up for cancer occurrence (Greene, 2011).
