Assume the differences in measurements taken by the two observers are approximately normally distributed with meanμ andvariance σ2.The differences in SBP measurements by the two observers were computed, and the mean and variance of the 10 differences in SBP measurements were calculated as d = -0.2 and s2 =8.178.  Thevariance σ2 isa measure for interobserve variability.
