Childhood- From the age of 2 years and older children should eat healthy to help support proper growth and development. Some specific nutrients that Children need are: ~Vitamin A: Helps protect the body from infection and promotes healthy eyes and skin (Things like Watermelon, Carrots, Spinach, Sweet Potatoes and Mangos) ~Vitamin C: Helps support healthy gums and teeth and helps heal cuts and wounds ( Things like Oranges, Strawberries, Pineapple, Broccoli and Cauliflower) ~Fiber: Supports "a healthy digestive system" (Things like Apples, Bananas, Pears, Beans, Brussel Sprouts and Broccoli) ~Iron: Improves a child's learning ability and supports healthy blood ( Spinach, Beans, Lentils). Suggest at least one additional food to consider for each of the life stages they discussed. Provide the rationale supporting your recommendations.
