A type of arachnodactyly is an autosomal dominant disorder associated with a gene on chromosome 5.Sickle cell anemia is due to a gene on chromosom.

A man and a woman, each with arachnodactyly and who each had an unaffected parent, are carriers for sickle cell anemia.
