The U.S.-Mexico border is emerging as a cultural region unto itself, with strong movements of ideas, products, culture, technology, food, music, and peoples crisscrossing the border on a daily basis. As a result, many places along the border have more in common with their counterparts on the other side than with places well within the U.S. or Mexico.
