1. James and John are two, second grade students in your classroom. They are constantly fighting with each other at recess time. You have repeatedly discussed the appropriate playground behavior, had a conference with their parents, and even observed them at recess even though that is your break time. Considering the social learning theory discussed in the chapter how would you handle this.

2. You have noticed that many of your students are very tired on Monday morning. You do some research as to why. After talking with them you find out that they stay up very late on Sunday night watching television. You are going to set up a conference with their parents to discuss this. How would you use social learning theory to help you?

3. You have a female student who is constantly "shutting down" when you present her with any type of math activity. You are becoming very frustrated with her behavior. According to the social learning theory this behavior may have to do with her self-efficacy perceptions. What can you do to help her using the social learning theory.

4. You are teaching kindergarten. You believe that self-regulation can be taught. You are going to do some research on your class, and find out if your hypothesis is true. How would you go about doing this using the social learning theory?
