The relationship between Social Information Processing and Job Characteristics. I believe that this is not a laboratory phenomena as many researchers have suggested but one that we encounter in the world of work every day. As human beings, we are meaning making creatures. We assign meaning to everything that we encounter with our senses whether we register it consciously or not. That meaning largely shapes how we feel about the situations that we are in because all of out thoughts are actually filtered through out emotional brain before they get to out frontal cortex which is involved in executive functions like decision making.
