If the puck has a radius of 2 cm and properties as described in the procedure, what is the ratio of angular velocity to linear velocity for which the kinetic energy of linear motion is equal to that of rotational motion? If your movies of the air table have segments of linear motion approximately 10 cm long, what change in the angle of rotation of the puck would be observed (where KL = KR)? This is an important calculation in that it may be useful as a criterion for determining whether the rotation that you observe in the experiment is sufficient to warrant inclusion in the analysis.
