Consider a block of mass m sliding down an inclined plane andit has three forces acting on it (1) a gravitational force(pointing down). (2) a normal force perpendicular to the surface ofthe plane. (3) a friction force opposing motion down the plane.

In the case of a surface with negligible, Friction force iszero, and there are only two external forces acting on the block. What will the acceleration of a cart be according to thetheory- Newton's laws?

How will it compare to the magnitude of the gravitational acceleration g?
