Case Study - Miss Maloi was conducting reading assessments. She decided to assess learners during group-guided reading in their ability level groups. It was Mason's turn to read. While Mason attempted to read, he kept rubbing his eyes. He also repeatedly blinked his eyes. Mason struggled to read and read out many wrong words each time it was his turn to read. As a result, he achieved a low mark for his reading assessment. Miss Maloi commented that the ability level group Mason was in may be too difficult for him and that she would consider placing him in another ability level group where he could cope.
