Topic: An argumentative essay on one of the following subjects. You may present a "Pro Argument" and/or a "Con Argument." In addition, you MUST present and critically reflect on your own position.

Structure of Paper
Introduction and thesis statement: 1 page
What is your topic? Why is it important? What is your position on this topic? In this section provide a brief overview of the subject and a clear thesis statement of your position on it.
Body of the paper: 3-4 pages
Here, you provide arguments supporting your position, backed by evidence from your literature search. Please also include a brief summary of conflicting perspectives on the topic, followed by your rebuttal of those positions (again, citing evidence from your literature sources).
Reflection: 1-2 pages
In this section please critically reflect on your own position. How are your views influenced by factors such as your experiences, gender, age, culture, religion, etc.? If you had difficulty grappling with the ethics of this topic, you may discuss that as well.
Conclusion: 1 page
Do not simply restate the thesis, but provide an evaluation of it that incorporates what you have learned from your research.
References: 1 page
Provide a properly formatted reference list for all sources used. A minimum of six references should be used in this paper, of which at least three must be from academic journals. Please use Canadian sources or present a Canadian perspective wherever possible.
APA Style: American Psychological Association referencing (6th Edition) must be used for all in text citations, and references.
