I must admit that one of my favorite subjects is shopping. So, it is no surprise the study of how people shop is pretty interesting to me, especially as a marketer. After all, understanding the when, where, and how people buy is very important when it comes to developing successful marketing strategies. This is the study of consumer behavior —how people make buying decisions.

At the same time, I know that the recession and the economic downturn have affected my buying habits. Even though things have been slowly turning around, I am still very careful about my spending habits. How has the economy affected buying behaviors?
