Question

In 2010, President Obama signed a law that changed healthcare significantly, which led to several provisions for the Affordable Care Act. Medicaid eligibility was expanded by giving access to help those under the age of sixty-five living in poverty and low-income families, which helped families qualify for Medicaid quickly. Although several states did not participate in this provision, the provision aimed to help families by expanding insurance coverage and expanding insurance and making coverage plans more affordable. No one can be denied health insurance regardless of whether they have a preexisting health condition, their gender, or race. There were a lot of individuals being denied health insurance because they had preexisting medical issues and were unable to get coverage. In 2014, the Affordable Care Act provision went into place to stop insurance companies from denying coverage to those who had preexisting medical issues, which stopped insurance companies from charging higher premiums to those with preexisting health issues. Japan's healthcare system has universal healthcare coverage through a fee-for-service and a free-access system, which allows them to seek coverage anywhere without being charged any additional fees with my healthcare coverage if they go to a doctor or hospital that is not in the network. Services rendered will not be covered by insurance, and I will be billed. Japan's insurance is universal because it offers coverage to its citizens and legal residents, which helps with providing everyone with healthcare insurance. Japan's universal healthcare was established in 1961, allowing their government to provide health coverage at a lower rate.
