The building we have visited contains two floors residential, two floors office and a large basement. The mixed use building has completed facilities which includes game room, art room, gym and party room. The building has recently renovated in April 2017, which looks nice and clean with the white stone wall. Based in Ontario, Skyline is a well-known name in the Guelph area, having in 2008 purchased most of the Co-operators real estate holdings in the Royal City. An affiliate is also involved in the Gummer building redevelopment downtown. The Skyline Group of Companies comprises three primary entities: Skyline Management Inc., Skyline Asset Management Inc., and Skyline Wealth Management Inc. Together they exist to service the Skyline Apartment REIT and Skyline Commercial REIT, also under the Skyline company.
Castellan has mentioned that the Skyline REIT's 99 investment properties are valued at $600 million and that's primarily residential apartment complexes, with some commercial properties in the mix. Which attracts me a lot, since I realized the Skyline is growing from a small company to the greatest real estate company throughout the entire Canada. Those holdings are administered by Skyline Asset Management, which also acts as the dealer for the REIT.
