In this assessment, you will be writing an individual report that encourages you to be creative with business analytics, whilst also developing a response to a brief containing a "wicked problem", to be addressed using Complexity Science principles and Artificial Intelligence.
The wicked problem is that in order to improve Australia's capacity to be resilient and to grow the economy, there is a requirement for more small businesses to be more innovative and be prepared to scale up to be medium-sized businesses, according to a new report by Industry Innovation and Science Australia (IISA). Imagine that you are responsible for the current Australian Government's Industry Growth Program. You have been given the remit to oversee the provision of targeted advisory services to support the development of business capabilities. This includes allocating funding for innovative projects and supporting the scale-up of small businesses in priority areas of the economy.
Your expertise is in complexity science and artificial intelligence.
Your recommended initiatives are to be based on data. For example, find data that shows the current priority areas for the Australian economy.
There is a need to access additional third party reports to support your findings in your research report.
Your report should have:
An introduction (100 words)
A section discussing the association between Australia's capacity to be resilient and grow, with the requirement for more small businesses to be innovative and in so doing, be prepared to scale up to become medium-sized businesses. This section should be supported by data (500 words)
