To Prepare Kale is a 67-year-old female who presented to the Primary Care's office. You are reviewing her chart as the nurse practitioner. Chief Complaint "Low back pain" x 2 weeks. Synopsis of HPI She reports a history of Chronic low back pain but stated that this pain feels different because it has remained constant for the past two weeks. She reports tenderness is localized to lower back and reports pain as throbbing and intermittent. She denies any new onset trauma, falls, or injuries. She reports that she is a stocker at a local grocery store and typically moves several large boxes during her six hours shift. Her pain started at the end of her shift about two weeks ago. Medical History Osteoarthritis - Bilateral Knees Hypertension. Medications Ibuprofen 600mg TID PRN for pain Lisinopril 20mg daily Consider common musculoskeletal disorders in older adults. What differentials would you formulate for Kale based on the presenting complaint? What physical assessments would you employ in arriving at a diagnosis for Kale?
