In linear strands of DNA (eukaryotes), normal replication cannot continue to the very tip of the DNA molecule on the 5' end. This is because polymerase cannot add directly to the 5' end and there is literally nowhere to place okazaki fragments or primers. To compensate for this, which of the following occurs?
A. an enzyme, DNA elongase, attaches a temporary strand of DNA to the tip of the DNA molecule so that the replication can be completed. After completion, the temporary strand is removed and recycled.
B.Near the end of the lagging strand the 3' to 5' directionality of nucleotides reverses. This results in the very tip of the DNA molecule having the proper chemistry to be able to complete replication all the way to the end.
C. A second, small section of DNA from the other template strand (3') is created and transported to the 5' end by the enzyme DNA replicase
D. There is no mechanism in place to conserve the very end of the DNA molecule. With each replication a small section of DNA is lost from the end of the molecule, resulting in shortening of the molecule.
It is a very curcial concept to understand how the immune response is mounted against viruses, bacteria, protozoans and helminthes. For an effective immune response, both innate and adaptive immunity should work together.
This Project report elaborates a critical review of important elements attached to Advanced Glycated End Products (AGEs). It is very crucial to understand the process called Millard reaction.
Soil stabilization is the permanent physical and chemical alteration of soils to enhance their physical properties. Stabilization can increase the shear strength of a soil and control the shrink-swell properties.
