2. How should jails and prisons manage of inmates who are HIV-infected or who have been diagnosed with AIDS? (e.g., should jails test everyone who enters and isolate them from other inmates, should their health status be confidential, etc.)
3. Discuss some of the challenges correctional administrators encounter by those who are mentally ill while incarcerated.
4. Discuss the challenges involved with the incarceration of sexual-minority offenders (whether they are homosexual, transgender, non-binary, etc.).
5. Should the correctional system handle military veterans differently than non-service inmates since those who have served our country often come back from active duty with PTSD, which may lead to drug/alcohol issues, mental health issues, and/or difficulty re-entering society, which may lead them to jail/prison? In other words, does society have a duty to treat veterans who commit crimes better or differently than other inmates who did not serve in the military?
