REPORT INSTRUCTIONS
Part 1:
Research Context Abstract
A research abstract is a concise summary of your entire project. Your final report should contain the full abstract. This is an extension of the initial abstract submitted with the research proposal and summarizes the report including the problem background, research methods, findings and implications. The abstract is typically written towards the end of the project when the outcomes are clear.
Length: 100-250 words
Introduction
This is a full introduction to your research. An introduction would normally contain some background information on the area of research, background information on the problem to be solved, significance of the problem, your approach to solve the problem, any assumptions or limitations as well as any possible ethical considerations. Research question, scope and an overview of research approach should also be included in the introduction. You can use the information provided in your research proposal to build-up the introduction.
Part 2:
Research Methods
In this section you clearly outline what methodology you will use in your research i.e. what you intend to do and how you intend to do it. It must be clearly written so that it would be easy for another researcher to duplicate your research if they wished. Most researchers will use one or more of a number of well documented and acceptable methods understood by the research community. For the purpose of this project, use a qualitative approach (literature review) to answer your research question. Expert Academic Guidance Now!
Part 3:
Literature Review
The literature review gives the reader (and the examiner) the necessary background to understand the study by citing the investigations and findings of previous researchers and documents the researcher's knowledge and preparation to investigate the problem.
Studying the existing literature is one of the essential preliminary tasks when you undertake a research study. This enables you to acquaint yourself with the available body of knowledge in your specific area of research. "The literature review is an integral part of the research process and makes a valuable contribution to almost every operational step" (Kumar 2018).
Apart from drawing the context for research, literature review should also be used in this project as a method of investigation to find answers for the research question. Please follow the steps described in (Okoli & Schabram 2010) to conduct a systematic review of literature.
Part 4:
Research Findings Results
Report the results of your study in this section. Your findings must be reported with no bias or interpretation. Interpretation of results occur in the discussion section. Avoid including outcomes that are irrelevant to answering your research question.
Discussion & Conclusion
Provide interpretations of your results with supportive argument. Place your results in the context of the existing knowledge and answer questions such as: what do your results add to the body of knowledge, how significant your findings are, what are key take aways from the study, any recommendations does the study provide and how can future research build on your results.
References
Provide a complete list of all references cited within the text. You must use Holmes Adapted Harvard Referencing Style.
Part 5:
In this submission the group will incorporate all their previous work into one cohesive document and submit by the due date and time. This submission will incorporate the Full Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Literature Review, Results, Discussion & Conclusion into one document. This will give the group a chance to take on board any comments previously given by the instructor in the previous and make corrections.
