Research Paper for Biological Psychology

Choose a drug-most drugs are fair game. Avoid drugs like aspirin, tylenol, ibuprofen, etc. Illegal substances and prescription drugs are fine though. If you are unsure whether the drug you are choosing is appropriate, please ask me to double cheek.

Your goal for this paper is to biologically explain why the drug does what it does to the user. These effects can be the desired effects and they should include some of the side effects (which are usually unwanted). You will probably want to address the short term effects separately from the long term effects as well. Also. if you want to include withdrawal symptoms, that is fine. Just make sure you explain what is occurring biologically to cause those symptoms to occur.

Be specific with the drug that you choose. Don't pick an entire class of drugs to write about, as you will smelly not get into enough detail.

If the drug you choose is used as a treatment for a disorder (or a dog that may lead to a disorder), you can include something that explains why that drug is useful for that disorder. Don't turn the paper into a paper about a disorder, but you can include information to fully explain the link between the drug and the disorders it may treat/create.

The end product should be no less than 4 pages in text length and no more than 8 pages, double spared, in 12 pt font (times new roman or something similar/ At the top of your paper. put your name and the tunic of the disorder you wrote about. Other than that, just have test for your wilting (no pictures or charts).

For sources, you can use scientific article or websites. However your paper should have, at minimums five sources, two of which are scientific ankles. Please cite your articles internally and on a works cited page in APA format.
