Part I

Reflect on your philosophy of leadership. Describe your personal leadership qualities as they relate to your philosophy.

How does your philosophy fit the group leadership styles and personal qualities of effective group leaders?

Discuss the three styles of leadership and the type of group that you believe are most compatible with each. What are the similarities and differences?

Part II

According to Gladding (2016), a prerequisite to becoming an effective leader is "learning which strategies and roles to employ in conflict situations and when" (p. 69). In fact, five specific techniques for managing conflict in groups are described.
