Teachers are responsible to oversee both the social and the physical environment in which learning has to take place. A positive learning environment is crucial to maximise learning. The teacher as well as the students should all contribute in order to achieve such a positive environment. Ideally, teachers try to make sure that no problem arises in class but when problems do occur, an appropriate response is vital.
