Question

Describe the quality improvement in the nursing environment. Please be very specific- and provide the measurable data you are using to base your quality improvement project on. Please do not choose a problem and then try and find data to support your problem. The data used for the QI Project should be data that already exists within the facility's reporting requirements either internally with the quality department/committee or with a national database. Quality Improvement projects are initiated when measurement data reveals a gap between expected and actual performance. Please provide the time frame the data was collected, preferably within the last 6 months. Additionally, provide the facility goal or benchmark. You need to be able to objectively demonstrate in this post that the data you have supports a QI project. Your SME will provide feedback and approve your project here in the competency engagement forum.
