The data used for the QI Project should be data that already exists within the facility's reporting requirements either internally with the quality department/committee or with a national database. Quality Improvement projects are initiated when measurement data reveals a gap between expected and actual performance. Please provide the time frame the data was collected, preferably within the last 6 months. Additionally, provide the facility goal or benchmark. You need to be able to objectively demonstrate in this post that the data you have supports a QI project. Your SME will provide feedback and approve your project here in the competency engagement forum.
