Finding Diode Specifications

Look up the characteristics of the diodes required using the web. You will need to go to a manufacturer's website (ex: Motorola) to get the datasheets. The specifications for the different kinds of diodes vary. Copy all of the specifications for each diode as well as all of the specification definitions.

a) Measure and graph the forward bias IV characteristic of the 1N4004. Use the graph to determine the turn on voltage, ideality factor, and saturation current.

b) Measure and graph the forward, reverse, and break down bias IV characteristic of the zener diode. Use the graph to determine the turn on voltage, breakdown voltage, ideality factor, and saturation current

c) Provide percent errors in relation to measurements.
