This unit is modified to enable individuals with good technical knowledge be able to recharge their mobile Co2 cylinders without transporting it to the gas plant. It pumps from a supply cylinder of 5okg capacity or a bulk tank into other cylinders with smaller capacity. It is not a compressor, it is simply a transfer pump used to transfer liquid Co2 from one cylinder to another.

The significant of the study is to provide firefighting equipment to the reach of our rural and local communities by the means of developing Co2 transfer pump with locally sourced materials that can be affordable by individuals with technical development/knowledge.

It is fabricated with locally sourced materials hence there is no cryogenic pump manufacturer in Nigeria, making it very expensive for a common Nigeria to afford the cost of cryogenic pump.

It is notable that there is always danger of fire outbreak in every home more especially when cooking (etc.).

Exposed to fire hazard but with mobile Co2 cylinder accessibility in our living homes, vehicles and shops fighting small fire will be very easy.
