Briefly describe the steps of a pure prototyping methodology as an alternative to an SDLC approach. Which disadvantages of an SDLC methodology are addressed by a prototyping approach? (250 words)

Prototyping methodology allows Rapid Application Development (RAD). It is used to create quick demos and mock-ups. There are many fourth generation RAD tools. This solution describes the RAD steps employed by prototyping methodology in contrast to SDLC.
