Group Project Report - Business plan for a new venture
Report Structure
I. Title Page with a brief and concise summary of the business plan's contents and should include:
a. The name and address of the company
b. The name of the entrepreneurs, student ID and group name
c. A paragraph describing the company and the nature of the business (no more than 5 lines)
d. The amount of financial expectation (if you need more than the initial fund, please write the total figure)
e. A statement of the confidentiality of the report
II. Executive Summary - a summary of your report that concisely highlights the key points in the business plan. Your executive summary should also include the answers to the following questions:
a. What is the business concept and business model?
b. How is this business concept or model unique?
c. Who are the individuals starting this business?
d. How will you make money and how much?
The executive summary could also include supportive evidence that might strengthen your case such as statistics with citations. Remember that this section should provide a strong and encourage the reader to read it.
III. Environmental and Industry Analysis
a. PEST
b. SWOT
c. Industry Demand
d. Competition
IV. Description of the Venture( MANTHAN )
a. Mission statement
b. Core values of the business
c. Goals and objectives (Minimum 3) The goals must be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound) and they must be mapped with a few KPIS (Key Performance Indicators) for each goals
d. Product/Services offered
e. Location, size of business, personnel, background of entrepreneur and the contribution to the business.
f. Business Model (including revenue model)
V. Production Plan (only if your venture involves manufacturing component) (MANTHAN)
VI. Operations Plan - this section will explain the flow of goods/services from production to the consumers. You should explain the role of technology in the business transaction process. You can choose to list the steps in completing a business transaction.
VII. Marketing Plan
a. Target market - based on your demand analysis described earlier, your target market should be broken into three sections: demographic, geographic, psychographic and behavioural.

a. Management structure
IX. Risk assessments and ways to mitigate the risks
X. Financial Plan - fund needed and how it will be spent in the first one year as well as prediction for the first 3 years both for sales forcast and expenditures
