Procedure:
Design the following circuit and code:
Modify the Bar Graph Distance Control circuit and program to using a photoresistor input instead of an IR distance sensor in
Chapter 3 (pp. 56- 59). Modify the program to represent an illumination LED bar graph circuit. In other words, when the photoresistor detects maximum light, all of the eight LEDS light. As you dim the amount to the photoresistor, the LEDS start to turn off from right to left.Send your code file (.ino) of the lab completed and operational as well for credit.
Analysis/Discussion:
Explain what you did in the program to reverse the display of the bar graph, making the bar graph illuminate with the LEDS on and turning off as you dimmed the light.
The 74HC595 shift register is essential converting 3 inputs to 8 outputs. In your own words, how does this work?

Design a circuit using an 8-to-1 multiplexer that functions as a 4bit odd parity generator. An odd parity generator outputs 1 if andonly if an even number of inputs are high.
FPGAs are programmed from a compiled HDL description (i.e., a Verilog or VHDL program). What would you have to have in the HDL description to use the global set/reset function in the Spartan FPGA
Calculate the location of Ei in silicon at liquid nitrogen temperature(77k), at room temperature 300k and at 100 degree celsius (let mp =1.0mo and mn= .19m0) Is it reasonable to assume that Ei is the center of the forbidden gap
A 1.55 micro meter fiber-optic communication system is transmitting digital signals over 100 km at 2 Gb/s. The transmitter launches 2 mW of average power into the fibre cable, having a net loss of 0.3 dB/km.
A 1.2 µF capacitor is initially charged to 50V. How much energy is stored in the capacitor. What will be the voltage on the capacitor after it has been discharged by a 10 µA current for two seconds.
State the different groupings (accounts) in the balance of payments account. Why must the balance of payments account always balance?
Let the component at Omega(C) = 2pi* 3000 be the corrupting signal. Design an appropriate lter to lter out this component of the input. You can use fir1 command for this. Plot the frequency response of this lter.
Instrumentation amplifiers are indeed constructed with either 2 Op Amps or 3 Op Amps. Does that mean that the 3 Op Amp is more common
A 5stage single pipeline computer uses the pipeline mentioned in the lecture (not the book). It resolves the direction and target of a conditional branch instruction at the end of its third pipeline stage.
Convert both numbers to 4-bit values, take the 2's complement of 9 and add them. What happens to the carry out How does that compare with what happens when you subtract 8 from 9
Given the electric field of a 200 MHz uniform plane wave propagating in the z^ direction, where E is parallel to the y axis and reaches a peak value of 150 (mV/m) at t = 0 (s) and z = 0.5 (m).
An automobile battery is charged with a constant current of 2 A for five hours. The terminal voltage of the battery is v = 11 + 0.5t V for t > 0, where t is in hours. (a) Find the energy delivered to the battery during the five hours.
