Inquiry for Legal and Ethical Nursing Practice
ASSESSMENT - ARTEFACT (CONCEPT MAP)
Case study - Margot
In this individual assessment you will need to develop a one-A4-page concept map focusing on a given topic.
A concept map is a visual representation of knowledge, where you organize and structure information and the relationships between them. This should be done graphically using visual boxes to highlight differing concepts and arrows to show linkage through connecting navigation to lesser concepts. They have been described as:
"...are graphical tools for organizing and representing knowledge. They include concepts, usually enclosed in circle or boxes of some type, and relationships between concepts indicated by a connecting linking two concepts" (Novak & Canas, 2008, p1)1. Get expert-level assignment help in any subject.
This helps you to develop the structural nature of your knowledge on the subject being focused on, develop an understanding of the content and identify any errors of omission.
The concept map is designed in such a way that the content is covered under 3 aspects namely
Consent and legal aspects relevant to the Case study
Professional Practice applied to the Case study
Ethical Principles that are involved in the Case study
This assessment will help you to develop your plan for assessment 3, which is a Case Study

This is the first part of the assessment. Here students can picture out the various concepts of consent such as definition, types, elements of consent etc. Along with that choose only ONE legislation (Law), that can be even Case Law OR only ONE policy that is relevant to the case study.
