For this assignment, you are going to locate an alternate resource that provides you with information on how to produce a literature review, and why it is essential that such a review be appropriate and comprehensive.

After locating an alternate resource (e.g., a journal article, online lecture, online methods resource, textbook) that explains literature reviews in full,prepare an executive summary (three to five pages, double spaced in APA format) that explains how to prepare a literature review.

You may select an executive summary format that you locate, one that you are already familiar with, or one that you invent for your product. Write this executive summary as if you were a homeland security advisor to a political, corporate, or agency leader for whom you work. Imagine that you are persuading this leader to assign writing a literature review to a member of your team to support social science research that a member of your organization should conduct.

In writing your executive summary, provide as much detail as you can, while delivering a concise and coherent product. Remember, your boss is a busy person and will not focus long if your product is redundant, wandering, or poorly written.

Your paper should be well-organized, comprehensive, persuasive, and clear. Remember, you are writing it for people who will not necessarily understand the nuances of academic perspectives. Your mechanics should be flawless, and your content should reflect higher-level thinking that is critical and commensurate with graduate-level work.
