You need to select two organisations for the focus of this task which you consider to be major competitors of one another.

You cannot select an organisation that has been previously used in your group assignment.

Part A: Marketing

Using the S-Q-I-P framework, critically evaluate how each of the two organisations create value for their customers (additional frameworks that could be used are the following: Value Hierarchy pyramid, Customer-based brand equity pyramid, Product dimensions). Specifically, identify the primary source of competitive advantage in terms of Customer Value Management for each organisation.

Based on your evaluation offer recommendations to both organisations on how they might improve Customer Value and consider the competitive context between the organisations as part of your justification.

Part B: Operations

Present a comparative analysis of the supply chain flexibility strategies adopted by both organisations by drawing on the techniques/concepts discussed in class.

Critically examine the pros and cons of each organisation's strategy. Support your analysis with adequate justification and evidence.

Provide recommendations on how the deficient aspects of each organisation's supply chains can be improved or avenues for future emerging opportunities.
