Assume your TA gives you a bacterial culture and claims there are 4.8 x 107 bacteria/mL in the culture. To check up on her, you prepare serial dilutions of 10-4 - 10-7. You prepare pour plates from each of the dilutions (4 plates in all).

a) Draw a dilution scheme showing how you diluted the culture with the given dilution factors.

b) If your TA is right, how many colonies do you expect to find on each of the plates made from these dilutions
