Assessment Description

The primary focus of this assessment is for you to conduct research on a contemporary OBM issue. Drawing from academic research and real-life professional application, you will need to present the findings in a one A4-paged infographic. The focus of your research is,

"In what ways can organisations ethically manage workplace cultural transformation driven by Artificial Intelligence (Al) integration, and how can change management frameworks support this process ?"

In your research, you are expected to identify the key drivers and barriers influencing workplace cultural transformation driven by Al integration. You should then critically evaluate how change management frameworks can support organisations in leveraging these drivers, overcoming barriers, and guide the process in ways that address ethical principles and cultural dimensions.

What you need to do:

Question 1. Compile and analyse your findings from at least 3 high quality academic reference i.e., relevant and peer-reviewed journal article at five or less years.

Question 2. Respond to the research topic and present the topic in the form of an infographic, including the following aspects:
Introduction to the topic

Provide a concise summary of the topic.
Main themes of your analysis and findings

Question 3. Prepare a structured Critical Analysis and Process Report, with a minimum word count of 500 and a maximum of 600, that accurately describe the process of how you have developed and created your Infographic, and a critical analysis of key OBM concepts/knowledge, ethical implications and their application to professional practice.

Important: Your Infographic presents your findings visually, while your Critical Analysis and Research (CAP) Report explains the thinking behind those findings. Think of the Infographic as your executive summary - a concise, visual representation of your findings. The report is your behind-the-scenes rationale, explaining how you researched, selected OBM concepts and knowledge, and designed your infographic.

Both components must work together cohesively, with the Infographic serving as the primary artefact for assessment. Where there is a lack of alignment, such as when the CAP Report does not adequately explain or support the concepts visually presented, this may influence the evaluation of criteria related to conceptual understanding (Criterion 2), application to practice (Criterion 3), and evidence-based reasoning (Criteria 2, 5 and 6).

Likewise, if the CAP Report demonstrates sound research and analysis but the Infographic fails to effectively communicate those findings, whether through unclear visuals, missing content, or poor design, this may also affect the evaluation of criteria related to communication (Criterion 4), conceptual clarity (Criteria 2 and 4), and application to practice (Criterion 2).

The Critical Analysis and Process (CAP) Report is designed not just to demonstrate what you know, but also how you think, analyse, and apply learning. You are therefore expected to ensure that the Infographic and CAP Report are coherent, mutually reinforcing, and grounded in the same research and theoretical frameworks.

It should be clearly structured and include the following sections:
Introduction to research topic: Justify why the identified topic is important (50-60 words)

Understanding of OBM themes related to the issues: Analyse the key related OBM themes/theories/concepts relevant to the topic. Explain the reasoning behind and how you determine your selection of these specific OBM themes/theories/concepts. (145-175 words)

Application of learning to professional practices: Explain real-world relevance by discussing the professional challenges that influence your discussion and shape your insights. (145-175 words)

Articulation and visual expression: Justify design choices by explaining how your visual presentation enhances the communication in your infographic (80-90 words)

Research Process: Identify the steps you have taken to select academic sources, and how you have considered avoiding bias, and ensuring accurate interpretation of findings. (80-100 words)

Question 4. You may use any visual tools, including the infographic templates available in PowerPoint, that best suit the quality of work in your assignment.

The task will assess your ability to:
Critically analyse OBM issues and apply relevant and advanced knowledge of OBM theories/concepts to address a practical topic in the workplace.
Bring in various OBM theories/concepts and structure evidence-based conclusions.
Digitally communicate your ideas effectively and accurately.
