Put the following steps for doing an antimicrobial substance sensitivity test into the proper order:
A.) Place the disk in the center of the agar plate. Press it gently to ensure full contact between the agar and the disk. Return the forceps to the ethanol container.
B.) Use your forceps to pick up a paper disk and dip it into your antiseptic or disinfectant of choice. Remove the excess.
C.) Open sample tube, flame top, and dip in a sterile cotton swab. Remove excess liquid from swab, flame tube top and close.
D.) Gently rub the cotton swab over the entire surface of the agar plate. Rotate plate 1/3 and repeat. Rotate 1/3 again and repeat a third type. Discard swab in biohazard container.
E.) Wait for a few minutes for the plates to absorb the sample.
F.) Remove forceps from the ethanol and pass them once though the flame to burn off excess. Do not hold them in the flame.
