Explain the general function of Respiratory system and discuss how the Respiratory system contributes to the physiological homeostasis of the human organism?

Guess on and/or research potential mechanisms which would afford enhanced processing. While existence of "professional" antigen presenting cells partially ameliorates the problem of the self/non-self discrimination, it remains difficult to understand how it is possible that cell's class II molecules are not deluged with the processed "self" molecules (such as, albumin is present at tremendously high quantities within the serum, so one might consider that peptides from this alone would suffice to compete for any transiently present non-self proteins). Speculate on and/or research potential mechanisms which would afford the improved the processing or recognition of the potentially dangerous molecules versus presumably not so dangerous self antigens.
