FSHN1030 - Introduction to the Nutritional, Physical and Psychological Aspects of Wellness - The University of Newcastle
The start of each new year brings with New Year's Resolutions and many of these are wellness related. There is no shortage at the moment of stories in social media, websites, blogs, mainstream media (radio, tv) and advertising for wellness resolutions.
In this task you are to select three wellness resolutions - one relating to nutrition, one relating to physical fitness and one relating to mental health - and then determine if they align to current scientific evidence. These can be personal wellness resolutions or they may be ones that you have sourced from elsewhere (such as social media or websites).
New Year's resolutions rely on behaviour change. In your assignment you must also propose method/s by which each of these wellness resolutions might be achieved.
Sources of reliable scientific recommendations for you to fact check against may include the Australian Healthy Eating Guidelines, the Australian Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines, the World Health Organisation, scientific journals, and any other reputable scientific source. Do not use up your word count by directly quoting these recommendations. Instead, refer to them as part of your fact checking statement.
