Purpose:

To become familiar with computations involving phasors and the complex representation of sinusoidal ac powers, including the effect of power factor (PF) improvement on both the line current and voltage sources.

Requirements:

Design an application that has the following features under both single-phase and three-phase (Delta or Wye) conditions:

a) Given the phase voltage and phase current, find the power factor, real power, reactive power, apparent power, and complex power.

b) Given the phase voltage and the load impedance, find the power factor, real power, reactive power, apparent power, and complex power.

c) Given the phase voltage and complex load power, find the power factor and load impedance.

d) Given the real power, phase voltage, and power factor, find the reactive power, phase current, and complex power.
