Simulation Based Assessment Task:

A patient is admitted in your clinical setting following a femur fracture fixation on the left leg. You are required to perform neurovascular observations on the affected extremity.

You must assess the:
- Peripheral circulation and pulses
- Skin colour, temperature, integrity and turgor of the affected extremity
- Capillary return
- Ability to move the affected extremity
- Dorsiflexion and plantar flexion of the affected side ankle

You should demonstrate the procedure on a manikin in the simulated nursing environment. Your assessor will provide voice over for the manikin.
