Pperform an IP search using different databases. Identify patents (2-4 should be sufficient) and describe the patents, how your product is going to be different then the patents, will you need to license anything? Alternatively, you can look for components of your product where the patent is >20 years old. This way you can use that component without infringing upon IP and this will save your company design costs and time. The end goal is to satisfy weekly learning outcome number 3 and create a description of your product you think is sufficiently different from prior art that you would receive a patent. This can be included in the company description portion of the business plan.
