Question

Case study 1:

Patrick is an older man who you are visiting for the first time. He lives alone. He has previously had a hyperactive thyroid which has been treated and current records show normal thyroid functioning. He has Asthma and Depression and the last time he went to the Dr, he said his blood pressure was quite high and they needed to keep an eye on it. He does have some reflux. He can have difficulty with swallowing and chewing.

Patrick does not have family and friends nearby so tends to keep to himself. He is independent and believes he doesn't need support. But he does find it difficult to fill his days and has recently been saying "My life has no meaning".

He can be unsteady on his feet and had a fall about 2 months ago where he fractured his wrist.
