2. Self-disclosure can be used when it advances a therapeutic purpose. In our video clip, Alex explains that the group is for the group members. What would have said to the group members who wanted more self-disclosure from the group leader?

6. One of the challenges we saw in this video clip was the group members asking the group leader if she was qualified to the lead group. Ashley states that she thinks that Alex is very qualified. 7. One of the functions of the group leader is to make interpretations. In this video clip, we see the group leader make an interpretation regarding Rachel's feelings that she is being judged by the rest of the group. Alex interprets these feelings to transference. Rachel states that Rue is causing her to feel this way. First, how would you as a group leader make sure with a group member that your interpretation is correct? Second, what further work would you do with Rachel regarding her feelings of transference with Rue?
8. A group member tells the group that they have a concern. The group member goes on to say that they know that several of the group members have gone out to dinner outside of the group, The group member feels strongly that this is not okay. As a group leader, how do you handle this situation?
9. Another group member expresses that they do not feel you as the group leader care about the group members. You are only there because you need money to pay rent and feed your family. How do you address the concern of this group member?
10. Defensiveness can occur when we are challenged by our group members. What will you a group leader to avoid become defensive during these challenges?
