Assessment: Curriculum Design Presentation

Task Description: This assessment requires you to choose an age group (Birth-2, 2-3, 3-5) and create a curriculum plan for the chosen group, including a weekly program that contains a range of learning activities, a learning environment layout, a supervision plan, assessment strategies and teaching strategies. On campus students will present your work in class as directed by your lecturer. Online students will upload a YouTube video and your slides instead.

Choose Your Age Group (Birth-2, 2-3, or 3-5 years)

Start by clearly identifying the age group you are designing the curriculum for. Tailor your weekly program, strategies, and environment to suit their developmental stage and needs.
Create a 10-Slide PowerPoint Presentation

Each slide must be clear, visual, and supported by brief explanatory text. Use visuals, diagrams, and icons where relevant.

4-5 Weekly Program - Present a clear, developmentally appropriate weekly schedule that includes a variety of planned learning experiences (indoor and outdoor, individual and group, quiet and active)

Presentation Delivery (7 minutes)

Online students: Record a 7-minute presentation, upload to YouTube, and submit both the video link and your slides.
Tips for Presentation:

Practice timing - 7 minutes = approximately 45 seconds per slide.
Speak clearly and confidently.
Don't read from the slides-expand on the content verbally.
Keep visuals uncluttered and professional.
