The aims of this coursework are:
• To provide students the opportunity to apply formal and informal written communication skills and analytical techniques, for decision-making by using skills and knowledge acquired during the module delivery.
• To enable students to:
» Comprehend different methods of communications.
» Apply written communication skills and analytical techniques for decision-making.
» Organize the engineering process.
Module learning outcomes assessed by this coursework:
On successful completion of this assignment, students will be expected, at threshold level, to be able to:
• Apply formal and informal written communication skills.
• Organise the engineering process data, information and knowledge and apply analytical techniques for decision- making.
Task:
• Each student will choose an industrial/commercial organization in order to prepare a written report of about 1000 words. Additional detailed guidance, will be issued during delivery of the taught sessions.
• Research through available resources, in order to prepare a written report of about 1000 words, related to the communication methods and decision making processes, used by an industrial/commercial organization.
• Identify and choose an industrial/commercial organization of student's own selection, preferably specific to student's chosen pathway.
