Students will attend a 12-step open meeting in their community, preferably in-person if possible. If indicated, student may attend an online meeting after communicating with instructor. After the 12-step meeting experience and review of the video from Module 6, students will develop and describe the similarities and differences between community support programs (i.e., nonprofessional, 12-step self-help, AA, NA, Al-Anon, Process Addictions) and professional Revised 2-2022 10 evidence-based programs (i.e., intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization).
