Your objective is to choose one country to serve as your “pet country” during the term. You will review the social and economic data of five countries (your choice), and will use that information to determine your “pet country.” Data should include, for example, Real GDP, Per Capita GDP, Trade Levels for Exports and Imports, Population Measures such as Median Age, Literacy Rates, etc. Economic information such as currency policy (Is the currency pegged to another country’s currency?), and participation in trade groups (Is this a European Union member?) may also be used in your data set. These are only suggested measures for you to use. We strongly encourage you to find additional measures. You may arrange much of your information in tabular form, but you are still required to provide a running narrative.
