Ross (1963) URL By the 1950's, stemming from the work of behavioural researchers such as B.F. Skinner, it was widely held that learning occurred as a result of direct reinforcement.

The research of Albert Bandura and his concept of observational learning challenged this view. The focus of this research proposal will be on the research of Bandura in relation to a developmental issue. It will involve a review of relevant observational learning research, the development of a research question and the description of a proposed study.
