Question: A patient has been brought to you who is thought to have a mutation of the DVL1 gene, a human homologue of the Drosophila Disheveled gene. The hypothesis is that this mutation eliminates the ability of the DVL1 protein to bind to the human equivalent of Axin in one tissue.
