Motivational interviewing (MI) is a way to really create a conversation between two people. It is almost like building that bridge between you and the other person in order for that other person to cross over. A group leader can ask questions that encourages his clients to think about change and really want to do better for themselves and their future. An example of a MI from a group leader would be something such as "What can you work on today that will make you feel better tomorrow?
