Various strategies are used to combat the crime, communication network, and disruption to effective operations of these prison gangs, including having multiple criminal investigators on staff. What are your thoughts on how best to diminish or eradication the impact and threat to the goals/models of incarceration these gangs have?

The market for widespread use of private prisons by federal, state, and county governments was created by the 'get tough on crime' stance of the 1980s and 90s, which caused an immediate overcrowded situation relative to the available bed space in correctional facilities. The research and anecdotal literature of private prisons has been both pro and con in terms of their use as an effective alternative. What are your thoughts on the use of private prisons? Should the government entities contract for such services with justice-involved persons? If private prisons need to be used due to the lack of humane government institutional housing, what performance measures should government entities use to determine their effectiveness with the goals/models of incarceration?
