Consider the momentum of a small ball during the projectile motion. Assume that there is no air friction. Is the momentum of the ball conserved? Is any component of the momentum conserved? Please explain.
It seems like the momentum is definitely conserved while in the air, as the ball drops from the top of the parabola in the x-direction and y-direction, but I have no idea how to show this with the proper equations.
